I have passed this place several times before but never had the opportunity to walk in. One of my coworkers threw a birthday party for her relative and used the back area for all her guests. It was decorated beautifully with a rain forest theme, had heaters which kept everyone warm and live music. The white sangria was very tasty and definitely creeped up on me. The calamari appetizer was a little chewy which I didn't love. I ordered a medium steak with fries but it came as medium rare so I had to return it back to the kitchen. Once they cooked it more, the steak was very tasty and they brought me a fresh batch of French fries which were salty and crispy. I would like to try other items on their menu so I will be returning.

Dropped in here a few weeks ago for some drinks and catching up with my friend that lives nearby. I think I had passed this a bunch of times in my adventures of going to Jackson Heights but never checked it out. One perk automatically, there's a check in special of a complimentary glass of Sangria! I haven't seen a check-in special in you don't know how long. It was really exciting. I went with the red sangria and then later ordered their take on a smoked old fashioned. Both were very potent and delicious. The aroma of the old fashioned was amazing. We also ended up getting a flan desert. Now this is going to sound ridiculous but I normally hate flan and this was really delicious. It had a texture that wasn't too jiggly and just creamy surrounded with beautiful strawberries and layered with caramel. It was almost more like a custard and I'll take custardy flan over jello flan every day. Their menu and brunch menu sounds delicious and would definitely think about coming back to try more.

Really friendly service and nice drinks! Seemed authentic with a modern twist in decor and drink options. Had a lot of local regulars, but welcomed us with attentive and kind service. We came only for the PULSD drink passport, but I would return for food.

Chris has been coming here for years. He has had food catered from here to friends' parties, so we had the birthday party for the two birthday boy's (different year same day) mix drinks were delicious. Food was responsible priced and filling. This Los Angeles yelper enjoyed his NYC dinner & visit.

This place has a really nice and spacious seating area all the way in the back. The tables are spaced out well so you're not cramped next to other people. There's a TV in the back playing non stop music making your dinning experience much more enjoyable. I got the grilled salmon with mashed yuca and baked cheese on top which was absolutely amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. My fiancé got the skirt steak which I had a piece of and it was one of the best skirt steaks I have had in a while. I would definitely recommend getting the skirt steak here! The only downside here was their beer selection which consisted of about 5 regular bottles of beer, I guess I was expecting a wider or more local selectionS. The drinks seems to be very good here though!

Finally made it in after years of having Bocaito bookmarked. Located in Jackson Heights, this restaurant and wine bar focuses on Latin American dishes including ceviche, arepas, tostones, empanadas, carne, and a variety of other favorites. I was originally smitten with a photo of the burger here, so I had to get one. It's big and juicy! Cooked medium just as requested. The classic LTO and slice of American cheese conjured nostalgic memories of burgers past. I also pigged out on fries, which were provided in abundance. The arepitas con ropa vieja were also good. Corn cakes topped with stewed meat, guacamole, and chorizo. Visually reminiscent of an open-faced slider or an avant-garde eggs benedict. Flavor and texture were satisfying, though I preferred each ingredient more on its own than in conjunction. The ceviche de pulpo was, perhaps, not for me. I didn't particularly enjoy the taste or texture of this one. That's not to say someone else wouldn't like this dish but I wasn't blown away. Happy hour drinks were cheap and delicious, and the backyard patio seating was great until a torrential downpour of rain flooded the area and we had to relocate indoors. Service was gracious and attentive. I'm happy to have gotten a chance to eat here.
